Kogi Pilgrims Arrives Makkah, Performs Umrah

Pilgrims from Kogi state have successfully moved to the city of Makkah on Tuesday afternoon after the completion of their exercise in Madina.



A statement by the commission through a telephone message, said that the pilgrims were led to perform there Ummrah on arrival in Makkah.

The statement added that pilgrims are equally encouraged to pray in Haram for the spiritual benefits.

The movement to the Holy City of Makkah was after a three day enlightment programme in Madina.

The enlightment programme which was led by the Executive Chairman of the Commission Sheikh Luqman Imam Abdullahi (Abul Yatama) was to prepare pilgrims for the Umrah exercise.
Pilgrims from the state were earlier conducted round important sites in Madina Munawara.
The places visited includes, Uhud, Masjeed Qiblatain and Masjeed Quba.

The chairman of the Commission, Sheikh Luqman Imam Abdullahi gave the explanatory remarks to the pilgrims at every site visited.
