OPINION: Barr. Natasha Akpoti Paid The Extortionate Fee For Her Acceptance | BY Isah Bala

When uncommon valour and spirited gusto to stand and speak for the voiceless are being discussed in Nigeria, Natasha H Akpoti stands out and will surely go unnoticed.
Barr. Natasha Akpoti

Unarguably, Barr. Natasha Akpoti's, feisty, outspoken, tenacity, antecedence, competence, pedigree, the readiness to take the lead and take the shot for the masses, her forbearance, foresight, exposure and resilience in the fight for the common patrimony and her courage to dare the status quo made the masses to be connected to her cause, love her beyond measure and ready to fight for her.

The love and total acceptance showed to her at the University of Benin on Wednesday by Nigerians when she mounted the podium to deliver lecture on, "Immigration Remittance and the African Economy" at the University did not come as a surprise.

Natasha H Akpoti has undoubtedly paid the extortionate fee when she dared to change the narrative and carved a niche for herself as a paragon of hope amidst several attempts to ignominiously consign her into the dustbin of history through media loathe and lynch her politically.

Suffice to say that Barr Natasha Akpoti has justified the essence of life for refusing to be silent and standing for a just cause to change the narrative which Barack Obama succinctly captured, "the best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope."

Thanks for being a reformist, thanks for changing the narrative, thanks for not just whining, thanks for being a whiting of hope.
