7th Assembly: APC Sweeps Kogi Central
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State has won all the six legislative seats in the central senatorial district of the state at the Saturday's House of Assembly elections.
Ebira Reporters confirmed from the released results that the candidates of the ruling APC were all returned elected, with wide margins.
They are, Ibrahim Usman of Adavi Constituency; Muktar Bajeh, Okehi Constituency; Ahmed Dahiru, Okene II Constituency; and Moses Akande of Ogori-Magongo Constituency.
Ahmed Lawi of Okene I Constituency retained his seat, while the Majority Leader of the State House of Assembly, Abdullahi Hassan Balogun of Ajaokuta Constituency was also returned elected.
Meanwhile, there were reports of low turnouts of electorates, even across the state.
Governor of the state, Yahaya Bello observed that the process was smooth, even though the turnout was not impressive when compared to that of February 23rd election.
Bello swept his Agassa-Uvete Polling Unit 011, with the oppositions in a tie of zero votes.
