Confluence Reporters reliably gathered that the State Executive Council would be dissolved on December 30, after a valedictory session of cabinet members.

According to available reports, all cabinet members have been asked to write their handing over notes ahead of the dissolution, this was contained in a government memo to the cabinet members.

It will be recalled that the Secretary to Government of Kogi State, Ayoade Folashade had today issued a statement that relieved all Special Advisers and other categories of political appointees their jobs.

No reasons was however given by government why the appointees got the matching orders earlier than the day expected, close to the handing over date in January, 2020.

Gov Bello recently won the election for a second term beginning in January, defeated his closest rival with a wide margin in the 16 November Governorship election.
