Kogi SDP Gubernatorial Candidate, Natasha Promises to Transform Kogi to Industrial Hub
The Social Democratic Party (SDP) gubernatorial candidate for November 16 Kogi State governorship election, Barr. Nataaha Akpoti has promised to make Kogi state an Industrial hub of Nigeria if given the opportunity to rule the state.
Akpoti who disclosed this shortly after she emerged as the governorship candidate of the party in Lokoja on Thursday said, part of her policies when voted into office as the governor of Kogi State is to is to make SMEs effective through introduction of soft loans that will make it easy for the people of the state to start and develop their businesses through which many people will be employers of labour and move Kogi from her present status of civil servants state.
She said, "I promise I to implement soft loans to helping strengthen the economy and make a Kogi state industrial hub of the nation.
"Crime thrives in a poor society, I will ensure there's an effective and running economy where the youth will be engaged and wouldn't have time to start thinking of crime.
"we will work with the federal government to ensure Ajaokuta steel is revived to have more industries in the state and generate thousands of jobs for our unemployed youth", she said.
