Eid-el-Kabir: Natasha Felicitates With Muslim Ummah, Calls for Tolerance, Patriotism
Kogi Central SDP senatorial candidate in the general election, Barr. Natasha Akpoti, on Sunday, felicitated with the entire Muslim ummah on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, calling on fellow compatriots to imbibe the spirit of tolerance and patriotism.
Akpoti who stated this in her Sallah message said, as a panacea for sustainable peace and development of the country, Nigerians irrespective of religious, ethnic and political divides must learn to tolerate one another and place the interest of the country above any other interests.
According to her, Nigeria is in dire need of leaders with people oriented vision who will champion the needed developmental strategies and drive the industrialization dream of the country.
Akpoti stressed that, for Nigeria to meet up to her expectations, Nigerians must put the interest of the country ahead of any other considerations, vote in leaders who have passion for service and development of the country, adding that good leadership is beyond political, religious, ethnic and gender considerations.
Akpoti, however, reiterated that with good leadership and conscientised citizens, there is still hope of getting things right in Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
