Ooni of Ife, Saraki, Wada, Natasha, Others Attend Dino Melaye Mother's Burial
The SDP senatorial candidate for Kogi Central, Barr. Natasha Akpoti amongst other notable Nigerians, on Saturday, attended the burial ceremony of Senator Dino Melaye's mother.
The Kogi West Senator who announced the death of his mother, Deaconess Confort Melaye on his social media handle on May 3, 2019, buried her at his country home, Aiyetoro Gbede, Ijumu local government, Kogi State amidst high powered delegation from all walks of life.
Notable amongst the dignatories who graced the occasion were; Senator Ita Enang who delivered President Mohammadu Buhari’s letter of condolence, the representative of the Chief of Army Staff, the immediate past President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, former Governor of Kogi State, Captain Idris Wada, and his deputy Yomi Awoniyi, Ooni of Ife, the Emirs of Zaria and Bauchi and other traditional rulers from within and outside Kogi State were represented.
Others included, Senator Biodun Olujimi who served as the chairman, planning committee, PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus, the wife of PDP presidential candidate, Mrs. Amina Titilayo Atiku-Abubakar, Senator Ben Obi, Senator Ifeanyi Uba, Senator Yahaya Abdullahi, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, Senator Tunde Obeha, Senator Ita Enang, Former Speaker of House of Representatives, Oladimeji Bankole amongst other others.
highlights of the programme included prayer session for the deceased, flagging of Confort Melaye's foundation by the children of the deceased with hundred million naira to kick start the foundation.
