Ihima And Eika Are NOT At War, Strange Children Be Warned AND Tread With Caution |By Ogo'ogu MD
"Democracy is not merely a form of government. It is primarily a mode of associated living, of conjoint communicated experience. It's the union of all the citizens, a contribution of all and It is essentially an attitude of respect and reverence towards fellow men/women." B. R. Ambedkar.
Great people of okehi local government, elders, and youths, men and women, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and political leaders I greet you all. I am glad to be born and brought up in Ihima, Okehi Local Government, Kogi state and each time I stand in the mirror of liberty and moral conscience, I glorify my heavenly father who in His wisdom chose for me, who my father should be, place of birth, country of birth and state of birth in which my identity constantly tags each time i’m to be introduced by those who love or hate me... OGO'OGU MD IS LOYAL TO YOU ALL
I am a son raised by a moral and conscience family, I am told not to insult elders, respect others and never trade my birthright for a stew or conscience for token. It is important I speak in this manner to caution the toothless bulldog in the land touching the sensitive part of our society, the core of our unity, the lamp-stand of our forefathers and the chain of peace that unite Okehi LGA together.
Permit me as I draw strength and courage from the scripture especially in the word of our Lord Jesus Christ, He read and I quote. “Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for He who is in you is greater, mightier than he who is in the world.” — 1 John 4:4
I am aware there is political power, spiritual power, occultism, recruited jobless thugs, etc but great is He that is in me that he that is in the world...Ladies and gentlemen on this premises I pick up my pen standing in the gap to reconstruct Okehi political and spiritual infrastructures to speak on the article written by faceless, unidentifiable, uncultured children. Children who sold their virtues for a token, children without conscience, whose bellies are their gods, they curse their father for a plate of rice and token stolen from the public treasury by a scandalous leader who gained power by chance instead of merit, fitness, and competence. They are morally, socially, politically regionally and traditionally bankrupted yet attending worship houses every Sunday and Friday... hypocrisy
They are zealous for what they can gain for the moment but their hearts are far from the true God because their ways are evil, they can pull-down their community for gold and silver forgetting about the next generation, not considering where they will hide their heads as shelters... Such children are called strangers, avoid them for they are in our society, state and Local government, Okehi LG be aware because they are very much in the corridors of power, agent of falsehood, they are naked yet they don't know because their mind is twisted by twisted politicians whose destiny is to bankrupt the society and rape us without condom.
"The life of an uncultured child is as useless as the tail of a dog which neither covers its rear end nor protects it from the bites of insects..." am saying this because our society is fast in recruiting criminals, thugs and lazy fellows by leaders who by themselves are lazy but privileged to access power. They are fanning the ember of war between Eika and Ihima...I say, stop it now before you have yourself to blame.
Marcus Garvey read and I quote "A people without the knowledge of their history, origin, and culture is like a tree without roots."...Those who give themselves as a tool for division should go back and study history or else they become the history my daughter ONYIOGU MD will study when she grows up...youth be wise.
They said in the article "despite Ihima population they are irrelevant in politics and all sort of nonsense was said about Ihima and their leaders all in the name of politics and token, well, I will like to put this to the public, It wasn't a mistake for God to take me through such a charismatic group of people, courageous men, and women...Men and women of valor who hate injustice with passion, they are small to know but big enough to serve you in truth and indeed, people with great chambers of love and tolerance... Ihima my identity, my home, and my logo. Be careful how you run her down because she is strong and big enough to fight for herself...Be warned strange children.
The good part of your story against the good people of my beloved Ihima is that you have just reminded us of the damages, disadvantages of unnecessary brotherly fights, ills of clannish tussles and the inherent dichotomy in communal clashes as opposed to love we ought to share. So, I’m glad you have shamed us with your poorly written poem but be cocksure that Ihima will reposition herself to maintain her natural position with fresh adjustments of authority and the rest shall be history. Thank you for your advice, my faceless one!!! But Be Warned
Definition of democracy.
1a: government by the people especially: the rule of the majority.
b: a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free and fair elections void of intimidation, bribing, harassing and blackmailing.
From the definition, we can vividly see that majority carries the vote. This has not been practiced in the Okehi Local government, not that the highest population axis (Ihima) does not know their right or strength politically but because of the mutual understanding and agreement between our forefathers, men who labor with all their energy and resources to give us what we are abusing today, a day is coming we will build statues to honor them across Okehi Local Government. But the way we are going, I pray the table will not turn, that’s if it has not turned already by the present conducts our political leaders in the land. Those, you children of darkness called irrelevant shall prove their worth sooner or later.
A child without culture, manners, and knowledge of history and far away from the wisdom, he/she will offer his parents cheap for mere gains or relevance... I use this moment to call the elders in the society to reach out to the youths and politicians who think in him alone is the possession of stupidity and supercilious to tame their tongues, else, we will all go public to dance the music of division... (God Forbid)
Franklin D. Roosevelt read and I quote, "Let us never forget that government is ourselves and not an alien power over us. The ultimate rulers of our democracy are not a President and senators and congressmen and government officials or appointees but the voters of this country". it is time we stop given ourselves out to be used by selected selfish, scandalous leaders, who will buy you a stone to stone your father and burn your father’s house down because of temporary position and token given to you...Be Wise Youths
Bernie Sanders: Election days come and go, but the struggle of the people to create a government which represents all of us and not just the one percent - a government based on the principles of economic, social, justice, unity and peace wrapped in good governance- that struggle continues.
Ladies and gentlemen, great people of Okehi Local Government, for this reason, I was born and for this purpose, I came into the world to testify to the truth, preach unity and peace across the land, rebuke the wicked and speak for the voiceless and show the way. Everyone on the side of truth, listens to me, Eika and Ihima are not at war, those who want to break us will be broken by us, Okehi LG will be saved, changed and great in unity and peace in my lifetime... Say No To Violence and Division.
Remember and run with this "democracy is not merely a form of government. It is primarily a mode of associated living, of conjoint communicated experience. its the union of all the citizens, a contribution of all and It is essentially an attitude of respect and reverence towards fellow men/women". B. R. Ambedkar
