Sheriff Charges Supporters to Be Steadfast As He Awaits the Decision of Appeal Committee to Recover Stolen Mandate

Senate aspirant in the just concluded All Progressives Congress, APC, Primary election in Kogi Central senatorial district, Alhaji Dalhatu Sheriff has charged his supporters to be steadfast as he awaits the decision of the Primary Election Appeal to recover his stolen mandate in the primary election he described as charade.



The aspirant made this known in a press release made available to Confluence Reporters, he noted that despite intimidations, threats and all forms of unholy and despotic acts his supporters stood by him through thick and thin during the primary election held at Kahal Cinema, Okene.

He revealed that his long silence after the sordid primary election that took place does not mean consent over the fictitious result that has been on the prowl via social, print and electronic media.

According to him, the primary election was a charade and gross injustice to accept such an ignominious outcome of an election that ought to have been a template for all other elections in the other constituencies in the state, adding that a very bad precept for free, fair, transparent and credible election at all levels the people craved for most especially as 2019 General elections draw near.

"We are very confident that the Primary Election Appeal Committee being constituted for Kogi State by National Working Committee (NWC) of our party to address these anomalies will certainly ensure justice prevails at the end of the day when they submit their report.

"It is my hope that at the end of the day the various grieviances of all other aspirants being reported across the state will enable (NWC) in the next few days lay to rest finally the primary exercise that took place in Kogi state which is adjudged as a charade and a rightful winner and candidate that will fly the flag of the party for the Kogi Central Senatorial Constituency be declared; so we can proceed with the essential task of trying to continue our campaign in order to win the general elections", he said.
