Kogi Central Senate: Natasha Akpoti Floors Ogembe, Oseni in Online Poll

The candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Natasha Akpoti has emerged winner of the online poll conducted for the top contenders jostling to represent the people of Kogi Central Senatorial District at the Red Chamber.

The one-week online poll which was conducted and hosted by Ebira Reporters was designed to weigh the online presence and popularity of the three major contenders, which include the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress, Yakubu Oseni and Ahmed Ogembe of the People's Democratic Party.

Calculated in percentages as represented in the chart below, while Akpoti polled 77.42%, Ogembe came second with 15.05%  and Oseni trailing with 7.53%.

Recall that in a statement at the take off of the poll, Ebira Reporters stated the very essence, while also acknowledging that the results may not represent the the reality at the general elections, considering myriads of factors.

"While there are many parties jostling for the seat, we have selected the top three political contenders via random samplings, and will be testing their acceptance and popularity online.

"Unless the result of this poll is again carried out by voters on the field, this poll does not translate online popularity to take the day. However, the possibility of online voters exerting their influences on their families at the grassroots cannot be overemphasized."
