OPINION: Hon Abdulraheem Ohiare, the Administrator of Okehi LG, the Property of the LG is Meant For All...Where is Our Ambulance And Legislative Bus? | By Ogo'ogu MD
Great citizens of Okehi Local government, old and young, boys and girls. We are in a season where our voice is needed to avert history repeating itself. Permit me as I share with you my motivation this morning.
I was on my own few days ago and a call came to me. My interlocutor said to me, my son, 'Okehi LG government of all has become a chicken in the hand of a chicken leader who does not know how to manage the people not to talk of the resources or properties of the land'. He went further to say, our 2 ambulances with 1 legislative bus has been moved to Ikare motto dealer in exchange for vetto motto for political empowerment. At this juncture, my heart melted, my antenna picked the vibration of wisdom and courage to ask Hon Ohiare Abdulkarahim, the administrator of Okehi Local government to throw more light on the whereabout our properties.
After the call, I went into my power room behold the word of wisdom dropped in my heart; "Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God'.
Ladies and gentlemen, the word of God is the truth, truth is the sword of justice, word and nowhere a man can get the courage from if not from his lips. So I beseech you all by the mercy of God to give me your attention because is all about our destiny, our home, and the only Local the government left for you and me and our children.

The history of liberty is a history of limitations of governmental power, not the increase of it. And the government, which was designed for the people, has got into the hands of the bosses and their employers, the special interests. Hon Ohiare Abdulraheem, I salute you. It has been a long time I query your public conduct. I understood some set of people are against my decision to demand explanations and accountability on what our ambulance is doing in Ikare motto dealer.
To set the record straight and to correct the impression of few imbeciles whose brain is mixed, damaged and twisted think my primary reasons for demanding accountability from the leadership of Hon Ohiare is because he is not from my constituency, Ihima. I have queried Hon. puffy, the past chairman and administrator severally, and Hon Abdulsalami Ozigi Deedat the commissioner for water was not shielded by the sword of truth, not even Hon Abdulkareem Kekere, ex-House of assembly Okehi constituency was spared in this query during his reign… Hon Kabiru Ajanah got to a point that he escalates his performance to prove a point that he came to serve the society not to rape them. If I now extend the principle of good citizenship and governance to Hon Abdularaheem Ohiare please why should anyone call for my head? My interest is the progress and unity of my local government and that will be my focus in as much as I am still alive here on earth.
Now Our Ambulance and the Legislative Bus.
After thorough investigation, I gathered that one of the ambulances was having tire problem which can be fixed within, the bus was to be serviced as well, and eventually the three (3) vehicle escape to Ikare motto dealer whose name is Yung K.
Thomas Jefferson said, the care of human life and happiness, and not their destruction is the first and only object of good government. But in our case, the care of themselves objective of government
It will be madness and abuse of office once again by you if the primary reason for moving the Local government property is to empower some selected few. Why not sell at least one of the houses you built with civil servants money for the empowerment, if you care much about your people?
Why not sell your hotel you build with civil servant mony at New Zango Abobo along Lokoja Road for political empowerment instead of Okehi LG property?
If as an administrator not even executive chairman you have property everywhere then we should be afraid of you if you eventually become executive chairman...how much is your salary?...
It is a pity that our leaders don’t learn or imitates good leadership but always repeat history. They said to me but Hon Puffy did the same thing. Then I asked was it right? He said No. Now the question is, why didn't you set the record straight? Why practicing what wrong? Where did these guys purchase their brain from?
“Ladies and gentlemen, we sit silently in our comfort zone watching these men saddled with power to oversee our welfare bastardizing and abusing it. This has taken a lifetime. You are a good man with them when you are silent at their unproductive policies, the young which is the youth are busy insulting and cursing those who refuse to swim in the pool water with them, they call our query useless because they are useless themselves. they call it hatred because they hate themselves. Yes Speaking to power and demanding transparency and accountability has never been an easy task but I have made up my mind to go all the way…The society belongs to us all, even our enemy will rejoice with us when we get it right someday...Where are our ambulance and Bus?
“I decided it is better to scream, for silence is the real crime against humanity. ...yes the attitudes of selling or auctioning Okehi property do not begin from Hon Abdulraheem Ohiare. The past Chairman, Hon Hassan cannot be left out for justice's sake. According to the information gathered, Hon Puffy was not the original person that sold the buses, He did all the pepper work for auction and unfortunately for him, he was asked to leave office by the administration of Captain Idris Wada. And for his mission to be executed he appointed Hon puffy to act on his behalf. Hon Puffy met all the paperwork ready and he implements. That is not to say he is free…It is a joint crime committed against the young beautiful lady Okehi …
If the people cannot trust their government to do the job for which it exists - to protect them and to promote their common welfare - all else is lost. No wonder Leonard da Vinci said “Nothing strengthens authority so much as silence.”
