NATASHA AKPOTI: The New Face of Kogi Politics | By: Emmanuel Theophilus Amanabo
We let the sun hit us
Every ray dashed its cue
We let the rain beat us
As we stood in hopeless queue
We could not breath
As these carbon monoxide exhume from hell gate
They said we had leaders
Those who all came and left us to ball in this hunger game
One, two, three, four and some even eight
They spend the years, yet we remain in poverty gate
Clue they never had, that we can't relate
For men stood, yet we in agony wail
They do not care as we in tears watched them derail
No vision, when all eyes are covered with veil
Oh no, blind men play us vision on our heart display
We waited for a hero
To smile on our day
The one who could lift the land out of shame
West, East and Central, still looking for a name?
Let me show you this smiling dame,
The new face ready to our land rejuvenate
To the rescue -Akpoti
Good enough for the mantle -Natasha
