Kogi Guber: I will Introduce Free Health Care for Pregnant Women, Aged, Minor - Natasha
The governorship candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP) for November 16 election in Kogi State, Barr Natasha Akpoti, has promised to introduce free health care service for pregnant women, old people and children when she becomes the governor of the state.
Addressing newsmen on Friday, Akpoti reiterated that the welfare of the people will be prioritized when she becomes the governor of the state.
She said, "I will introduce free health care service for pregnant women, old people from 65years of age and children under the age of 10", she said.
Akpoti who also promised to work with the federal government to revive the moribund Ajaokuta steel company said the 32 mineral resources in the state will be tapped to turn the fortunes of the state and make Kogi industrial hub of the country.
Recall, the SDP governorship candidate in her appreciation speech shortly after her victory at the primary election in Lokoja promised to introduce free and compulsory education from primary to secondary school level and make state owned higher institutions affordable for all and sundry when she becomes the governor of the state.
