Kogi Guber: I want to Stop Gov Bello From Further Plunder- Adoji

On of the aspirants of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Victor  Adoji, said his goal for running for Kogi governorship seat is to unseat Governor Yahaya Bello and stop him from further plundering the state.

Adoji said, "my ambition to run for Kogi State governorship is primary. There's primary ambition before the secondary ambition, the primary ambition is to make sure Yahaya Bello is not left in the office to stop him from further plundering the state into crisis. If I don't succeed in my secondary ambition, I will activate my primary ambition and support anyone who have the competent and capacity to unseat Yahaya Bello from Lugard House", he said.

Speaking on his motivation to contest for Kogi governorship election, he disclosed that one of his major motivations for running for political office is based on the realization that he is a product of Nigeria public institution.

"During my time, these institutions were on full fledging, serving and producing but they are dying and deteriorating and it's time to pay back on so many things the country has done for me.

"Secondly, our current crop of leaders seem to have ran out of ideas and for us to move from our current position to an expected position where we want to be, there is a need for new and creative ideas that will move us to achieve it. Beside, I am in the race to evolve an economy that will work for all of us", he said.

Adoji pointed out that, Kogi State has not only retrogressed, but the  State has moved from a hitherto bouncing state to a stone age state, adding that the state is in a situation where nothing works.

Commenting on his performance in the last general elections, he said, "the last election is far from what you can call a fair contest. I am in this race because I think I have known certain things I didn't know before now. Secondly I cannot deny the clamour of my people because doing so will be acting selfish. I am actually in the race for all of us.

"Politics like any other endeavour in life is a risk but if you don't take risk you don't get result and the greatest failures of all times are those who don't even dare.

"In Nigeria kind of politics, there is a huge dose of distrust but I will put it this way, the last time when I ran for senate perhaps I came to play football with basket ball rules, now I am ready to play football with football rules", Adoji said.

Speaking on is vision for the people of the state, he said
"The vision I have for Kogi State is to transition Kogi from what it is now wrongly called a civil servants state to an enterprise state, and enterprise state where patent are respected, where creativity, and innovation are respected and where all of us will be partners in the economy so that we can either push or pull in one direction.

"As long as you don't make people actors in the economy they are not responsible for certain actions in the economy where people can actually come and offer all that they have. One of my major slogan is the saying, " whenever I see youth, I see an industry", he said.
