Otaru breaks the chain, becomes champion of ISU weekly quiz

After a keenly constested competition, Yusuf Buniyaminu Otaru has broken the deadlock, becoming the new champion of Ihima Students' Union (ISU) weekly quiz competition held on Friday.


Otaru defeated the runner up with 10 points emerging the champion for the first time.

Reacting to his victory, Otaru noted that it has always been his desire to win in any competition and becoming the champion of ISU weekly quiz  is like a dream come true haven't tried for several times.

In his words, "I love winning but more excited to win this quiz because this is my first time of winning.

"I am overwhelmed because ISU weekly quiz talk about my origin. I love ISU, long live ISU, " he said.

While commenting on the weekly quiz competition of the union, the acting president of the union, Comrade Muhammed Shefiyat Onyinoyi explained that the union is trying every possible means to be a citadel of innovation for other students' union in Kogi Central.

"The weekly quiz competition was introduced by 2016/2017 president of the union Comrade Isah Amoto Bala, we've been trying to sustain it because is part of the things that make us unique and represent the pledge mantra of the union. The quiz is centered on Ebira historical events, " she said.

The weekly competition of Ihima Students' Union is
a Friday programme hold on the whatsapp group of the union where students of Ihima origin are able to participate from their various institutions of learning.

Yusuf Buniyaminu Otaru is a 500level students of Information and Media Technology student at Federal University of Technology  Minna.
