Anxiety As Female Student Goes Missing In Kogi

There is palpable fear in Kogi State over the safety of 20-year-old missing female student, Olorunyomi Confort Anjorin, who went missing since two weeks ago.



Olorunyomi Confort Anjorin is a student of of Kingsley College of Education, Kwara State and her sudden disappearance started on Tuesday June 9 when she wasn't sighted by families and  friends.

Olorunyomi Confort Anjorin disappearance started on Tuesday June 9, 2020 shortly after unknown armed men attacked her village, Takete-Ide, in Mopamuro Local Government Area of Kogi State.

An enquiry launched to know her whereabout revealed that the young lady was taken away by the armed men to an unknown destination.

A further information showed that
Olorunyomi Confort Anjorin, is an orphan who lost both parents many years ago and has a been trying to survive. Her abduction
has been a source of worry to the people of the village, families and friends.

While some people claimed that
Olorunyomi Confort Anjorin was abducted by official securities, an organised searched in all police station in the area, Lokoja and Kwara state has not yielded result.

One of her brother simply identified as Bolu disclosed that, 
If she was kidnapped, her abductors have not contacted the family, adding that they have been going from one police station to another to look for her to no avail.

"We want the police and government to help us in locating her. We have been in distress since her disappearance", he said.

 The family's worry and that of the residents of village is connected to the rising wave of rape cases in the country.
