Kogi Central: Appeal Court Adjourns Senate Hearing to 9th October
The Appeal Court sitting in Abuja, on Wednesday, adjourned hearing on the suit by Barr Natasha Akpoti of SDP and Senaotr Ahmed Ogembe of PDP challenging Senator Yakubu Oseni APC to 9th October, 2019.
Sequel to the ruling of Kogi Election Petition Tribunal led by Hon.Justice A.O Chijioke which upheld the election of Senator Yakubu Oseni on 30th August, Barr Natasha Akpoti of SDP and Ahmed Ogembe of PDP is currently appealing the judgement
at the appellate court.
The hearing was stalled on Wednesday as the counsel to Senator Ogembe failed to transmit record of the judgement to the court.
The Appellate Judge who observed some irregularities in the submissions of the Counsel ordered that complete record should be provided and that Counsel to the INEC should be served by People’s Democratic Party.
