Lawal Ends Francis' Reign, Emerges Champion of ISU Weekly Quiz

Comrade Andulfatai Adaviriku Lawal, Friday, ended the reign of Idowu Itopa Francis, a two champion of Ihima Students' Union (ISU) Weekly Quiz.

The keenly contested competition held on the Whatsapp group of the students' body had various tertiary institutions students of Ihima origin as participants.

The participants wrestled intellectually, displaying their knowledge of the rich  history of Ebiraland.

Comrade Abdulfatai Adaviruku Lawal, a graduate of Microbiology from Bayero University Kana emerged the new champion of the weekly competition, defeating a closest rival  Idowu Itopa Francis with five points.

Speaking shortly after his victory, Lawal said "it was really an educating and interesting programme. Well as the champion for this week's edition, I feel am charged with the responsibility of knowing more about my Origin."

While commending the efforts of the executives of the union, the new champion noted that, "Ihima students' Union is an age long association but new idea of representation evolve every tenure and currently, this executives are innovative and excellent in their strategy. I say keep it up" Lawal said

The national president  of the union, Comrade Isah Amoto Bala, stressed that "history is part of human's life and we must do our best to preserve the rich history of ebiraland through innovative programmes like ISU Weekly Quiz Competition where students who are mostly youths from various higher institutions of learning in Nigeria and beyond can always Participate."

He added that though  a richard card sufficient for weekly routine is given to the winner every week but the goal of the programme is to make students to learn the rich history of Ebira land.
