Senator Smart Adeyemi: 'I Will Support Gov Yahaya Bello's Vision Whether Good Or Bad'
Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial district, Smart Adeyemi, in an attempt to show his unresolved support to Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, said he will support the vision of the governor whether good or bad.
The Senator who expressed his resolve to support Yahaya Bello all time, said he is ready to stand by the decision of the governor whether good or bad, adding that the Governor had faith in him when everyone forsake him.
Senator Smart Adeyemi disclosed this in Iyara Ijumu local government of the State when he flagged off the distribution of food times to he provided as Covid-19 palliative for his constituents.
He said, “let me equally tell you, only a foolish person will think I will one day have issue with Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello. Because when people didn’t believe in me, he believed in me, so how do I fight him? Whatever is the vision of Yahaya Bello, I will stand by him whether good or bad; that is the level of my loyalty to him", he said.
The Senator emphasized that he can go to any length to defend the decisions and vision of Governor Yahaya Bello for what he has done for him.
Recall that Senator Smart Adeyemi had the support of the Governor during Kogi West Senatorial rerun election in November 16, 2019 and eventually defeated Dino Melaye through the backing of the governor.
Pundits have since analyzed that it wouldn't have been possible for Smart Adeyemi to defeat Dino Melaye if not for the support of Governor Yahaya Bello.
Smart Adeyemi's open support for Yahaya Bello may not be unconnected to the recent criticism the governor has been receiving due to his statements on Channels TV.
