How Kaduna College Loses Operational Licence Over Rape Of 9-year-old

Kaduna State governor, Mall. Nasir El-Rufai who is widely known as a no-nosense man has demonstrated it once again after he withdrew the operational licence of Liberation College Tirkania over an allegation of rape of a nine-year old pupil by the school proprietor identified as Mr. Samuel Ejikeme.



Governor Nasir El-Rufai who is determined to safeguarding the rights of every Kaduna residents did not just withraw the operational license of the school for allowing an act of pedophile to happen in an academic environment, also closed down the school.

In a statement made available to the press, the state Commissioner for Education, Dr. Shehu Makarfi disclosed that the state governor, Mall. Nasir El-Rufai directed that the school should be closed down.

According to the Commissioner, the withrawal of the school license is in line with the power bestoed on the Kaduna State Quality Assurance Authority  Board, Part IV, section 17 (1) of the law establishing the Authority.

On the instruction of the state governor, parents and guardians have been directed to withraw their children and wards from the school.

The school Proprietor, Samuel Ejikeme, who is alleged to have masterminded the heinous crime has been arrested and undergoing investigation before trial.

However, the Kaduna Stste chapter of National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) has issued a statement to disown the proprietor of Liberation College, Mr. Samuel Ejikeme.

In a statement by the Chairman of Association,  Mall. Ja'afaru Yusuf Riyoji said on Wednesday that investigation has shown that the alleged rapist is not a member of the association.

Liberation College is located at plot 46/48 Nnamdi Azikiwe Express bye pass, fishpond junction, Tirkania in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Until the school closed down, the school operatesled had Creche, Nursery, Primary, J.S.S. 1-3, and SS1-3 and pride itself as valu-based school.

The school which was known for its outstanding performance had embarked on excursion trip to DAAR Communication, AIT AMD Ray power FM on March 13 before the school Proprietor was involved in raping his nine year-old pupil which led to the withdrawal of its operational license and its eventually closed down.
