Kogi PDP Crisis Continues As Wada, Ibrahim Head to Appeal Court, Gov Bello Laughs

There seems to be no end to the internal crisis within Kogi People Democratic Party, PDP, as the acclaimed winner of Kogi PDP governorship Primaries, Musa Wada and first runner up, Abubakar Ibrahim head to Appeal Court to meet and further claim their 'victory' on the Primary elections that was nullified by the Lokoja High Court on Thursday.



After the judgment of the High Court on Thursday, the winner of the Primary Election, Musa Wada vowed to challenge the judgment in Appeal Court, insisting that he was the winner of the primary election and the authentic candidate of PDP in the November 16 governorship election in Kogi State.

In the same vein, the first runner up of the primary, Abubakar Ibrahim on Friday, declared his intention to challenge the High Court judgment at the Appeal Court also claiming that he was the winner of the primary election and ought to have been the authentic candidate of PDP in the November 16 governorship election in Kogi State.

Until the judgment, Abubakar was hoping of winning the case and inherit the votes of Musa Wada during the governorship election on the ground that the votes belong to the party.

As the fight goes on between Wada and Ibrahim who are both Igalas from Kogi East Senatorial district of the State, the APC candidate, Governor Yahaya Bello who won the election hails from the tribe of Ebira in Kogi Central Senatorial district is having the best laugh as the fight between the two brothers seems to have sealed his victory.
