Only An Enemy Of Kogi Will Root For Bello’s Re-Election – Baiwa
A governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, Hon. Hassan Abdullahi Baiwa, yesterday said only an enemy of the state would root for the re-election of the state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, in the November 16 election.
Abdullahi, who is representing Bassa-Dekina federal constituency in the House of Representatives, made the above submission at the APC National Headquarters in Abuja.
The aspirant, who fielded questions from journalists, said it would be insulting for anybody to insinuate that he was on the race on the sponsorship of Bello.
The former deputy speaker of the state House of Assembly asserted that among all the aspirants for the APC governorship ticket, he was the only one that had contested election before now.
According to him, providence bestowed leadership on the present governor, noting that he never contested any election.
The aspirant, who said he was in the race on the prompting of youths in the state said if elected, he would ensure prudent management of public funds and deliver good governance to the people of the state.
