Kogi SDP To Challenge Tribunal Ruling on Central Senatorial District

The Kogi State Chapter of the Social Democratic Party says it will not be deterred by the recent tribunal judgement that upheld the election of Sen. Yakubu Oseni, as Senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District.



The SDP in a statement released by Alhaji Mouktar Atimah, party’s state chairman, described the ruling against Barr. Natasha Akpoti, who every political follower in Kogi state politics adjudged as the winner of the Central Senatorial District election.

The State Chairman said the ruling is laughable, funny and a mockery of democracy, lamented that the judiciary that ought to be the hope of the common man is been trampled upon, says the party will appeal the ruling.
The SDP Chairman notes that the party and its members will not be dampened by the tribunal ruling, urged its members to be assured that it would retrieve its stolen mandate in a short while.

The SDP says the tribunal ruling would be challenged at the Court of Appeal, expressed optimism that the crime by those in authority to steal the joy of the common people of the central senatorial district would be recovered very soon.
