Natasha's Campaign Shutdown Adavi LG, As Electorates Declare Support

The love and acceptance enjoyed by the senatorial candidates of SDP for Kogi Central senatorial district, Barr. Natasha Akpoti has further demonstrated on Sunday when her camping train shutdown the local government.



Natasha whose campaign was attacked in Okene LG on Saturday refused to be intimidated despite the threat of possible attack in Adavi LGA, and took the people by surprise when she decided to trek  to most of the wards visited, pulling thoussnds of electorates who declared their unalloyed support for the first female senatorial candidate in Kogi Central.

Speaking, Akpoti said, "poverty does not know clan or gender, and I implore you to vote for me on February 16th to represent you in the senate. It's not about political leanings, gender or religion, but our efforts to work together and take our senatorial district out of poverty.

"Irrespective of your political affiliations, we are all one People with one vision, let's come together and make it happen and rewrite our history together", she said.

Akpoti disclosed that she grew up  in Ebiraland and understand hasd tasted the poverty and problems of the land, adding that she is ready to represent the people of Kogi Central in the National Assembly and get it solved.

 According to her, she started Ajaokuta advocacy on her own volition but the support she enjoyed from her people pushed her further to achieve the milestone on the approval of one billion dollar completion fund for Ajaokuta steel by the federal government and the removal of Ajaokuta steel from companies that can be concessioned.

Akpoti said if she can such milestone without authority, she will do more when the people entrust her with their mandates to represent them.

Speaking on creating opportunities for the teeming youths, Akpoti said entrepreneur is the answer to the high level of unemployment which has led to thuggery and many other problems in the society, promising to create opportunities for business to thrive.

She said, "I am a daughter of the soil and I want you all to vote for me come February 16 and let's work together to change our narrative.

"It's time to transform Kogi Central, and create jobs for our youths. This is the time to rewrite our history and I cannot be scared of anybody to keep my ideas that can transform our land to myself.

"Don't be scared of coming out to vote for me on 16th February, vote and stay behind and make sure your votes are counted.  Don't be affraid to defend your votes, it's your constitutional rights to do so.

"Most of you are graduates, your parents have suffered a lot to send you to school and you are here today without job, don't betray your parents by selling your votes for peanuts", she said.
