Tell Your Children to Shun Thuggery, Stop Destroying My Campaign Materials, Natasha Tasks Ebira Women
The Senatorial Candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for Kogi Central senatorial district, Barr. Natasha Akpoti, Saturday, tasked Ebira women to advise their children to stop being used as instruments of destruction by desperate politicians who want to attain power at all cost.
Speaking at the annual congress of Ihima Progressive Movement Women Wing held at Nyanya, Abuja, Akpoti said, the path of thuggery is destructive, the end result she said is always is bad.
She pointed out that it is the right time to address women of Ihima extraction to advise their children on the destructive path they have chosen to pay her back.
She said, "since I started my political journey, my campaign materials have been destroyed in Ihima, in particular, Obeiba on several occasions.
"I have been trying my best to give back to the society, and fight for good governance that will benefit the masses but I don't know why they have chosen to pay me back by allowing themselves to be used by desperate politicians to destroy my campaign materials", she said.
She noted that it's about time the elders of Ihima and Ebiraland stood up to address the renewed thuggery activities in Ebiraland,
"The contracted thugs that have been destroying my campaign materials in my immediate home are our own children, they cannot be more than the elders of the land, it's high time the elders rise up and call them to order. They are our children, they live within us at home, why is it so difficult for the elders to call them to order? ", she queried.
Advising women to shun vote buying and vote for competence and antecedent, she said it is time to build the future rather than the ephemeral benefits at the polling booth.
"Don't sell your vote on the election day, irrespective of your party, give me your support to change the narrative of Kogi Central.
"Building community is not the function of party, it's the function of patriotic individuals, our decision today will determine our tomorrow, tell the people at home to vote for personality and not party."

Reacting, the chairperson of the association, Mrs. Ade Onyi disclosed that Natasha's efforts to reposition Kogi Central and her advocacy for the revitalisation of Nigeria moribund steel companies for the masses is what endeared them to her, assuring her of their support and that of their families and friends.
