The Paramount ruler of Magongo Land in Ogori-Magongo Local Government Area, His Royal Majesty, Obin Sam Bola Ojo (Ojibo the First) has called on the people of Kogi Central Senatorial District to shun sentiments, money politics and join Natasha Akpoti to salvage the sufferings of the commoners whose interest she represents.
The royal father made the call at his palace in Magongo when the Senatorial Candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Barr. Natasha Hadiza Akpoti alongside her campaign team paid him a courtesy visit to seek his royal blessing.
The SDP candidate while appreciating the royal father for the warm reception, mentioned that in her carefully crafted manifesto there are various strategic plans to address the numerous challenges facing the Senatorial District and by extension, the State.
Akpoti noted that her developmental plans shall be all-inclusive and well spread across regions, gender and the likes, with zero tolerance for all forms of nepotism.
"I assure your Majesty that Ogori-Magongo would enjoy the best of of social developmental like all other local governments when we get there", she said.
Commenting, Chief Obin Sam Bola Ojo said, Natasha represents the interests of the commoners, the reason he said he prayed to God to guide and protect her to fulfil her dream for the people of Kogi Central senatorial district, adding that Natasha has proven worthy of representing the interest of Kogi Central.
In his words, "If you said anything that will create hatred for Natasha, know that you are part of the problem of Kogi Central. This is an erra for people to wake up from their slumber and shun politics of highest bidder. We cannot remain servants all the days of our lives, what do we handover to our children?", he queried
Emphamsizing on the need to render selfless supports to Natasha Akpoti, Chief Obin Sam charged the people to see Natasha's cause as their own cause without hesitation.
"In an ideal society, Natasha should not be spending her money for campaigns, she has done a lot and has proven to us enough to earn our voluntary contributions towards the success of this project. When I look at the situation of Ajoakuta Steel and I see the way Natasha is fighting fearlessly, I am forced to weep at the kind of leadership we have in our society today. We can't pay her back for all she is doing, the best way we can appreciate her effort is to take the cause up and chart it selflessly with her.
"God Almighty will strengthen you to change the narrative, women are known for societal building, go and reposition Kogi Central," he said.
