Sport: Natasha Foundation FC Defeats Ihima All Stars FC to Record Another Victory

It was another moment of euphoria for the players of Natasha Foundation FC as they slogged it out with Ihima All Stars FC of Ihima, and recorded another victory for the team.




The match which was played at Government Day Secondary School Ohueta saw the first 10 minutes of the competition in favour of the Ihima All stars FC as they looked threatened, they fired a thunderous shot from the left wing through its attacking mildfider Babatunde but his effort was saved by the defenders of Natasha Foundation FC who quickly formed a brick wall.

Natasha Foundation FC was quick to reply through counter attack, Victor vigorously struck to give his side the needed goal but his effort went over the bar.
The fist half ended on goalless draw.

The second half of the game looked promising for Natasha Foundation FC, they quickly retraced their form as they utilised every opportunity to brake the deadlock but Ihima All Stars FC defenders remained regid, foiling every effort of the Natasha Foundation FC.

A freekick from Mohammed Jamiu Moshood, the captain of Ihima All Stars FC in 60 minutes appeared to be decider of the game but was miraculously saved by the goalkeeper of Natasha Foundation FC, Salisu Abdulrazaq.

Natasha Foundation FC finally broke  the deadlock at the penultimate of the game from a corner kick from Saka Abdulrasheed. Salisu Onoruoyiza wasted no time as he converted it Into the much anticipated goal which stands as the decider of the game.
The team had earlier defeated Ikuehi All Stars FC 9:2 in their last encounter.

Addressing the players, Comrade
Ahaard Onimisi Salaudeen (Anokiki) advised the players to always be at their best, adding that what's worth doing should be what doing well.
    

"Natasha enjoins hard working and value engenuity, let your talents draw the attention of the social reformer and she will surely do the needful", he said.

Speaking shortly after the match, the Coordinator of Natasha Foundation FC, Okasime Abdulrasheed Okatahi said, with the performance of the players, there is high hope that they will excel if given opportunity.

"Natasha Foundation FC is a crop of best talent selected from the five local government of Kogi Central. In Kogi Central, we have footballers who are in die need of little assistance to showcase their potentials to the world, Barrister Natasha Hadiza Akpoti values and enjoins excellence performance, she will surely be motivated by the performances of the players to extend her helping hands to them.

"This friendly match and a competition we will be hosting very soon are  geared towards supporting the good works of Barrister Natasha Hadiza Akpoti and to show her that she will always have the support of Kogi Central Footballers come what may, " he said.
