FUL Expels National NAKOSS President for Examination Malpractice
The last may have not been heard about the viral expulsion of some students from Federal University Lokoja for examination malpractice, as a deeper look into the action by the University Management has revealed that the National President of the National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS), Audu Moses Omeiza aka Troy, was also expelled.
Recall that the expulsion of no fewer than 12 students of Economics Department rode to the news after one of them, Lawal Ohunene Lydia took to social media to allege unjust victimization with several claims to prove her innocence.
Lydia had revealed that it was a case of leaked exam question paper which she knew nothing about, until she was handed an expulsion letter.
Ebira Reporters further gathered that the NAKOSS President with Matric No FAS12ECO0009 was top of the expulsion list as released on June 26th, 2018 by the Admin Officer of the University Library, Yahaya Haruna.
Other names in the list are, Hope Omorogie, Folashade Johnson, Mohammed Shakwu Idakwor, Esther Abimbola Soje, Catherine Ogah, Ene Ejeh, Fati Omeiza Abdulrahman, Sikirullahi Akanbi Ligalli, Amos Onoja, David Juwon Ademola, John Oluwpelumi Olusegun, and of course, Lawal Ohunene Lydia.
While Lydia seems to have gotten the favour of some rights activists ready to fight her case to a logical conclusion, one of the questions being asked is why the 11 others including President Troy are quiet, especially as one reported to have rode into power not without the influence of government.
Meanwhile, the development has since triggered reactions calling on Omeiza Moses to resign.
In a statement sent to Ebira Reporters by one Michael Bamidele who claims to be a student of the University, Troy is said to be holding on to power.
"If he had any ounce of integrity he would have written a letter of resignation and transmitted to the VP National as stipulated in NAKOSS constitution and stop parading himself as the president, although integrity is not in his modus operandi, you do not expect such things from cheap cheats.
"I want to call on the senate president of NAKOSS to put in motion impeachment proceedings with immediate effect and the honourable commissioners for Education and youth and Sports development to as a matter of urgency set up a probe committee to investigate this allegation, it will also amount to a waste of scarce resources because what the committee will find out will not be far from what I have brought to the public domain, he should be removed forth with and immediately a quick financial audit of the NAKOSS Treasury should be done to ascertain if he has not misappropriated funds, it will also be in the affirmative that he has embezzled students funds, just been the flashlight on him and other multiple revelations will be discovered.
"He has been declared a persona non grata in Federal University Lokoja, he has no legal Mandate to hold the office of the President of NAKOSS and the government should declare him wanted, by virtue of the NAKOSS constitution. From on the 25th of June he has been impersonating as a student and illegally occupying the office of the NAKOSS president."
