Sallah: Sokoto workers Extol Gov. Tambuwa over payment of salary advance

Sokoto State workers have expressed the happiness over the payment of salary advance by governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwa, extolling the governor for his zeal to put smile on the faces of the state workers ahead of the Eid-el-adha celebration.

Confluence Reporters learnt that some of the workers started receiving credit alert as early as 3am on Saturday.

Some of the workers took to the social media platforms to express their happiness and appreciation to Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal over the payment.

In a statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Public Affairs, Abdullahi S. Danko said the gesture was to enable the workers celebrate Sallah with utmost ease.

The statement quoted the Commissioner of Finance, Alhaji Sa'idu Umar as saying that the advance salary would be deducted within three months beginning from the end of this month.

It  reaffirmed the state government commitment to implementing programmes aimed at improving the well-being of the civil servants and entire citizens of the state.
