ISU Begins 2017 Day In Grand Style
Ihima Students' Union has kick-started the 2017 Day of the union grand style with awareness tour on Friday.
As early as 7:00am, the workaholic executives of the union were already on the road making arrangements for the success of 2017 ISU Day awareness tour.
Ihima Students' have indeed groomed selfless students who take societal development above any other thing and always ready to contribute their quota to anything that would promote education in the land.
The secondary school students turn out en masse along side vibrant and energetic tertiary institution students and they shut down Ihima, chanting the song of oneness, and projecting the gospel of love, togetherness and sustainable peace through education. "Education is the bedrock of development and a path to sustainable peace", they preach as they move, urging the people to give education to their children at all cost.
Before the awareness tour started, the grand patron of the union, HRH Ahmed Ogido Abdulraheem offered the opening prayer, assuring Ihima Students' Union of his unalloyed support, " it's a privilege to have you people in this land, promoting education through different educational programmes. I urge you all to continue on this good work. My prayers are always with Ihima Students' Union", the royal father said.
The awarenesses tour is the first face of the 2017 Day of the union, the second face which will be featuring the launching of the union's magazine and presentation of certificate to outgoing executives of the union will be held on Saturday 16th December, 2017 at Central Primary School Obeiba Ihima, 9:00am.
