Why Johnathan May Return As The Next President Of Nigeria

One important personality Nigerians have continued to miss his leadership acumen in the last administration is President Goodluck Johnathan who sacrificed his ambition for the unity of Nigeria.

Johnathon remains the first African President to have called and congratulated his opponent who defeated him in an election that will go down in the history of Nigeria as the most competitive, the most publicised with international media presence and of course, the most intriguing that would have set Nigeria ablazed if not for Goodluck Johnathan who sacrificed his ambition amidst several opportunities to reject the outcome of the election that would have set Nigeria apart.

Johnathan was not only a man who shown that his ambition does not worth the life of an average Nigeria, he has shown that the development of the country was his sole aim of vying for the office of the President of Nigeria and if the people decide to vote in another person so be it.

Johnathan was indeed a man of integrity who rather go for known and respected technocrats that can deliver rather than giving appointments as appreciation of political campaigns.

Irrespective of what others may hold against him, during his era as the President of Nigeria, Nigerians enjoyed affordable goods and services and his economic team was able to scale through economic recession.

Because of these achievements, and unequalled records, an average Nigeria love and cherish him for his sacrifice to the nation and for averting the possible killing of hundreds of people that would have happened in the country.

Nigerians Have Realized The Worth of Johnathan

Just like the age long axiom says, "one wouldn't know the worth of what he has until he lose it." This is exactly what happened to the former president Johnathan.

During the 2015 electioneering campaign, APC promised to do more than what PDP was doing; end the security problem, fix the poor power supply, infrastructure, good road, provide millions of job for Nigerians youths and make $1 dollar equal to one N1.

Nigerians keyed into the vision of APC and felt it was time for PDP and Johnathan to leave and allow the 'messiah' to fix the country. Nigerians voted Jonathan out because many Nigerians believed he was the worst President on the surface of the earth as at that time.

Although, President Muhammadu Buhari, and his team have tried, he was able to dislodge Boko Haram and many communities that were held hostage in Borno State. President Buhari was able to curtail suicide bombing amongst other numerous achievements.

But unfortunately, APC hasn't met the high expectation of Nigerians and many Nigerians have continued to whine that APC led government of President Muhammadu has not really given Nigerians the real change they promised which made them vote out Johnathan.

Why It Will Be Easy For Johnathan
To Return As President of Nigeria

It will be difficult for Northern Nigerian retain power again by 2023 after the eight years of President Muhammadu Buhari.
If the current political permutation is anything to go by, then the seat of Nigeria President will either be going to South East or South South.

This arrangement will make it easy for him to maintain his popularity and influence to clinch the ticket and rule Nigeria once again.

Another factor that will make it easy for Johnathan to come back is the fact that he has demonstrated his love and desire for a new and peaceful Nigeria. It will then be easy to ride on this and get the support of millions of Nigeria.

It Will also be easy for Johnathan to return back to rule Nigeria because many Nigerians believe APC has not done anything different.

It is clear that Goodluck Johnathan remains the hero of Nigeria democracy. An average Nigerians have realised the worth of Johnathan which transcend ethnic affiliation. It will be an easy exercise for him to defeat any candidate from other political parties if he decided to throw his hat in the ring once again in 2023.
