OPINION: Kogi Central 2019: Between Hope And Illusion | Hon. Onujabe Nasir

Hope is a desire of some good, accompanied with an expectation of obtaining it, or a belief that is obtainable, an expectation of something which is thought to be desirable, confidence, pleasing expectancy.

On the other hand, illusion is a sensation originated by some external object, but so modified as in any way to lead an erroneous  perception,  a deceptive appearance.

The Kogi Central Senate election has divided the zone into two sharp edges which I referred to as " Hope and Illusion ".
Going by the definitions of term as matched with the major contenders in the coming election, the electorates has already made up their minds on who to vote for.

Hope is progressive and populist in agenda while Illusion  is repugnant, deceitful and anti-people.

The illusionist packaged his candidate to deceive the electorates by coercion, thuggery and sharing of public purse for vote buying and electorates' stigmatization of poverty.

The Hope candidate, creates  jobs through sporting, pays hundreds of thousands children's school fees, care for the aged, physically challenged people and pursuing of societal industrial Hub capable of generating mass employment and national technological  breakthrough.

The election is few weeks ahead tonges are wagging in hush voice and the electorate become bolder and resolute to vote the "Hope" candidate (Barr, Natasha Hadiza Akpoti) for her good work, vision, care and leadership acumen.

The coming election is indeed spectacular because of involvement of Barr. Natasha being a pathfinder for Ebira nation and only Woman to balance the gender equation.

It is indeed special because women was never given a chance before now despite their huge voting potential and relevance in nation building.

Barr. Natasha will be creating a history come February 16, 2019 as the first woman Senator from Kogi Central District to the hallowed chamber of our National Assembly.

Vote and wait to hear the polling unit result before going to ward collation centre. From ward collation centre follow the result to the Central collation center, don't leave until Natasha is announced the winner of the election.

Resist all intimidation and threat to create history for the first time that power remained with the people.

I wish all the electorates good health, perseverance and courage to vote Barr. Natasha come February, 2019.

Long live Nigeria!
Long live Kogi state!!
Long live Ebira nation!!!
