Were it Left to me to Decide, I Would Say Natasha Should be Given Kogi Central Senate Slot Without Opposition - Ohi of Eika

The Ohi of Eika, HRH Alh. Shehu Umar on Monday said if it were left to him to decide the next senator of Kogi Central Senatorial District, he would gladly choose Barrister Natasha Hadiza Akpoti without considering any possible alternative, saying Natasha
has done more to earn the suport of any Ebira person who wants progress in the land.



The royal father made this known when Barrister Natasha Hadiza Akpoti visited the traditional rulers in Obangede, Eika and Uhuodo of OKehi LGA in his palace to make her intention known to them on the zeal to liberate the people of Kogi central and the struggle to resuscitate Ajaokuta steel complex which pushed her to answer the clarian call to serve her people at the upper chamber come 2019.          
                           
    
Speaking on the huge sacrifices Natasha has made for her fatherland, the royal father said, "because of what she has been doing on the revival of Ajaokuta without any political power, what more is she going to do if she is given opportunity to represent our people. You have done enough for Ebiraland to earn our mandate", he said.

On his opening prayer, the custodian of Ebira tradition who also doubled as Ohi-Omahi of Uhuodo, HRH Yakubu Okatahi said for the sake of what Natasha stands for on the revival of Ajaokuta and other good things she has been championing, the ancestors of Ebiraland will be with her and direct her to actualise her dream for Ebiraland.

On his own contribution, Adeika of Eika, HRH Abubaka Jatto pointed out that he has been following every step taken by Barrister Natasha Hadiza Akpoti on the resuscitation of Ajaokuta, adding that because of his love for her and what she stands for, he traveled alongside other traditional rulers in the land to listen to her presentation at the House of Representatives where she revealed the conspiracies behind Ajaokuta steel company which led to the subsequent actions taken by the lawmakers to bring the moribund company back to life.

"What she has been doing on the resuscitation of Ajaokut is enough to convince every discerning mind to rally round her and do more for Ebiraland .

"Because of my love for her and what she is doing for her fatherland, I traveled to Abuja alongside other traditional rulers here and I was moved by her tenacity when she spoke on the conspiracies behind Ajaokuta and what need to be done for the company to start working", he said.

Commending the effors of Natasha, Ogazi of Anchi clan, HRH Alhaji Nasir Sanni Aroke posits that he was with Adeika at the National Assembly the day Natasha spoke on the conspiracies behind Ajaokuta which convinced him that she has what it takes to represent Ebiraland.

Commenting on the good works of Natasha, Ochu of Eyire, HRH Sunday Lawal Said with what Natasha has done there is no doubt that she is going to make a good representation if given the mandate to represent Ebirland

Appreciating the royal fathers for believing in her, Natasha said, she has held on so long despite all odds because she wants to make a difference and liberate her people from poverty which Ajaokuta is capable of solving once it starts working.

"The entire Ebiraland and Nigeria has only one thing that can transform our lives which is the resuscitation of Ajaokuta steel company.

"The entire journey is tough, that is why I have come here to support me with prayer, I will be your voice and represents your interest at the upper chamber.

"This joueny is not a party journey, by next year Ajaokuta will be forty years and we have had a lot of political parties who promised to bring it back to life and eventually failed.

"The journey should be about the person involve. You all know what my late father, Dr. Jimoh Abdul Akpoti stood for, he never treat people based on clan or district affiliations, he stood for humanity, that is the same vision I have come with to liberate our people and bring smile to their faces", she said.
