Political admiration and corruption in relation to healthy home, healthy nation, healthy children | Isah Bala

In the words of Harold Lasswell, “Politics is who gets what, when, how.” Human existence has often been characterised by strive,  for either domination or who becomes the leader or get the  mantle of leadership and manage the affairs of the people through a particular process.

However,  the process through which one get the leadership position is varied. There's  always an acceptable way known to the people of a given state to either chose or elect who becomes their leader. In most cases this acceptable way is often not followed to the latter as individuals designed ways they think they can get the power which may be different from the acceptable norms. By and large, they may get the position, hence politics comes into play as they push their own interests in the affairs of the state.

Political admiration can however be said to be the likeness or desire to participate in politics. This desire or likeness is often arised in most cases as a result of one's inordinate ambition to tap from the coffers of the national treasury (corruption), putting on all the available resources, energy and whatnots just to get hold of the power.

As a result of the greedy venture, public office has been turned to an avenue where one goes to enrich himself, causing unhealthy social stratification in the society through the wide gap created and the oppressed often see their oppressors as enemies consequently, unhealthy home and unhealthy society and nation at large.

To this end, AJ Ogunleye in 2012 contends that, "Corruption is an evil and a social vice that hampers national development. It is a global phenomenon that devastatingly affects developing economies."

political admiration when spurred by corruption has many negative effects ranging from social decay (starting from unhealthy home), children will be nurtured with the believe that they cannot make any progress without their hands being soild and this will consequently lead to unhealthy nation.
This is because the deformed children nurtured by unhealthy family institution whose ideas have been contaminated by the evil seed called corruption will grow with the zeal to venture into politic not because they want to contribute their quota to the society and the nation at large but because they want to take their own share of national cake and it doesn't matter if fellow compatriots are dying or the country's progress is at its lowest ebb.
