Ogembe Bags Most Outstanding Kogi Senator Award

The senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Senator Ahmed Salau Ogembe  was on Friday 9th June, 2017 awarded as the most outstanding Kogi Senator of the year by African Stewardship Magazine during the yearly lecture series in Lookoja.

The publisher of the magazine, Barrister Zaccheaus Dare Micheal while presenting the award said senator Ogembe was nominated for the award as a result of his outstanding contributions to the development of Kogi central senatorial district and indeed Kogi state by extension.

He stressed that Senator Ogembe has represented the people of Kogi central well since he was inaugurated and this is evident in the presence of federal government.

In his words, “Before now, water scarcity is a major challenge to the people of Kogi central but the senator has done a lot to reduce their sufferings by constructing 25 motorized boreholes, provide 5 transformers, distributed empowerment tools to the unemployed and provided relief materials to victims of thunder storm.

“I must also add quickly that the senator is highly assessable and he is also doing a lot in terms of helping the youths to be gainfully." He said

He thereafter enjoined the Senator to continue his good work as the merit award is to encourage him to do more.

The award was received on behalf of the Senator by his SA media, Mr Opeyemi Duke who thanked the publisher of African Stewardship Magazine for the recognition and assured the people that Senator Ogembe will continue to do his best for them at all time.
