Update on Natasha's Arrest: IGP Halts process, SARS Sqaud in Gov. Bello's House

The Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Adamu has halted the arrest of the SDP senatorial candidate for Kogi Central in the last senatorial election, Barr. Natasha Akpoti.

Speaking with our correspondent, Akpoti said the IGP who doesn't support injustice halted the process because she had earlier written to him on 18th April for the transfer of the petition she was accused of cyberstalking the governor which the Kogi state commissioner of police is currently investigating.

Akpoti said, in the desperate bid of governor Bello to silence her, he ordered the SARS Lokoja unit to arrest her this morning despite the fact that she had already applied for the transfer of the case.

The SARS squad commissioned for the political witch-hunt are currently in Governor Bello's House in Abuja as the IGP stop them from taking any action against Natasha Akpoti.
