Great people of Kogi State,  we have so much ignorance across the state parading themselves as leaders yet the purpose of leaders is not known to them.  they abuse, slap, and threaten their subject all in the name of being a leader. Ask them what is the purpose of government. There you will know the kind of leaders you have. SAD

It was Myles Monroe who said, when you don't know the purpose of a thing, abuse is inevitable. And the only way to know the purpose of a thing. is to know the mind of the maker. You don't ask a thing what its purpose is. Knowing the difference between corruption and good governance will guide your choice comes Nov 11 2023. it will also be a guide to so much ignorance that might become accidental leaders or appointees in the future. follow me

Corruption and good governance are two contrasting concepts that play a crucial role in the functioning of societies, particularly in public administration and governance. Here are the key differences between them:

Definition:

Corruption: Corruption refers to the abuse of entrusted power for personal gain, typically involving bribery, embezzlement, nepotism, or other unethical practices. It undermines the rule of law, distorts economic and social development, and erodes public trust in institutions. do not read this without a picture of a corrupt politician or leader in your mind.

Good Governance: Good governance encompasses the practices and processes through which public institutions conduct their affairs transparently, fairly, and in a manner that is accountable to the public. It involves effective management and allocation of resources, upholding the rule of law, and respecting human rights. focal point.

Corruption and bad governance are related concepts, but they refer to different aspects of a government's functioning and behaviour.

Corruption:

Corruption is a specific behaviour where individuals, typically within the government or associated with it, misuse their entrusted power for personal gain. This can involve bribery, embezzlement, nepotism, favouritism, and other forms of dishonest or unethical conduct.

Some common forms of corruption include:

Bribery: Offering or accepting money, gifts, or favours in exchange for influence or actions that benefit one party at the expense of the public good.

Embezzlement: Diverting public funds or resources for personal use.

Nepotism: Favoring family members or close associates in matters of appointments or contracts, regardless of their qualifications or suitability.

Kickbacks: Illicit payments made in return for favourable treatment or services.

Extortion: Forcing individuals or entities to provide money or benefits under threat or duress. Corruption undermines trust in public institutions, erodes the rule of law, and hampers economic development.

Great people of Kogi date, we are on the verge of choosing between the good, bad and worst... know what corruption is and know those who are putting on the garment of corruption to avoid history repeating itself. follow me to the camp of Mr bad Governance.

Bad Governance:

Bad governance refers to a broader set of issues related to how a government operates and makes decisions. It encompasses a range of systemic problems that hinder effective, transparent, and accountable governance. It includes both corrupt practices and other shortcomings in governance processes.

note: we can't get the whole picture of this beast in a human cloth without having a picture of a state gasping for life as bad governance rapes life out of her. remember I am from Kogi state anyway. so follow me

Some characteristics of bad governance include:

Lack of Transparency: Information about government activities, decision-making processes, and expenditures is not readily available to the public.

Lack of Accountability: There is a failure to hold public officials and institutions responsible for their actions and decisions. here in my state, you cannot hold them accountable instead they hold innocent citizens accountable for their errors

Inefficiency and Ineffectiveness Government institutions may be inefficient in delivering services, implementing policies, or addressing public needs.

Violation of Human Rights: Governments might infringe upon the rights and freedoms of citizens.

Political Instability: Frequent changes in leadership, political upheaval, or uncertainty can indicate a lack of stable governance

*Poor Public Service Delivery:* Basic services like education, healthcare, infrastructure, and public safety may be inadequate or poorly managed. please take a look at your state then choose your suffering wisely come 11/11/2023

*Exclusion and Discrimination:* Certain groups or communities may be marginalized or discriminated against in terms of access to resources, services, and opportunities. does this look like Delta people in Kogi state?

Bad governance can create an environment conducive to corruption, but it also includes broader issues related to how a government functions.

In summary, corruption is a specific form of unethical behaviour, often involving personal gain, while bad governance encompasses a range of problems related to the overall functioning of a government, including corruption but also other systemic issues. They are often interconnected and both contribute to a lack of trust in government institutions.

Ladies and gentlemen, it's our duty to educate ourselves on the issue of corruption and bad governance in our state. it cannot be addressed by strangers or foreigners. remember in every choice you make there are consequences.

hunger does not know tribe religion or ethnicity...we are kogites and we will choose our leader.

God Bless Nigeria

God Bless Kogi  State.

Kogi shall be saved, changed and be great in my lifetime.
