Forces Beyond Our Control Responsible For Lekki Shooting", Sanwo-Olu Claims

 

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has finally reacted to the Lekki Toll gate shooting and killing of protesters on Tuesday night.

The Governor who issued a statement via his official twitter handle at the early of hour of Wednesday claimed that forces beyond his control are responsible for the mayhem unleashed on the armless protesters at the Lekki Toll gate.

The Governor who said he delayed to issue statement since the mayhem was unleashed on the protesters because he has been busy visiting the victims of the unfortunate incidence at hospitals where they are currently receiving treatment.

According to him, "This is the toughest night of our lives as forces beyond our direct control have moved to make dark notes in our history, but we will face it and come out stronger", he said.

However, angry Nigerians attacked the Governor saying he cannot exonerate himself of the killing of innocent protesters at the Lekki Toll gate on Tuesday evening, asked the reason the security cameras were removed and the light put off.
