2018 World Cup: Take Home From Nigeria Victory - Haruna Hamid Amoto
As Nigeria defeated the Zambia to secure a ticket for Russia 2018, but did we observe what happened on the pitch?
Who scored the goal, Iwobi an Igbo guy from the East, who gave the assist, Abdullahi a Hausa guy from the North, there was a defender who I saw did all his best at the back and was crying after the match, Balogun a Yoruba guy from the West. All these guys are from different part of Nigeria and all played a vital role in our victory, but who qualified, is it the East, North, West or South? It was Nigeria.
The stadium was filled to the brim, fans were jubilating and embracing one another, forgetting their tribes or states. They came together for one gaol which is Nigeria's victory and it was secured by a team work at the end.
We are one Nigeria and nothing can break us. Peace begins with a smile… think about that. #SayNoToTribalism
