Ajaokuta Steel Investigation: Natasha Calls on Politicians Using Ajaokuta as Campaign Promise to Show Their Capacity
As the struggle to revive the moribund Ajaokuta Steel Company Limited (ASCL) continues, the founder of Builders Hub Impact Investment Program (BHIIP), Barrister Natasha Hadiza Akpoti has called on politicians using Ajaokuta steel as campaign gimmicks to be presence at the interactive session with the House of Representatives ad-hoc committee on Ajaokuta steel company investigation scheduled to start tomorrow.
Natasha who has been fronting the crusade for the resuscitation of Ajaokuata steel made the call through her facebook page.
This is sequel to a letter addressed to the activist by the House of Representatives Majority leader, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila inviting her to an interactive session with the House ad-hoc committee tagged 'Investigation into the failure of Ajaokuta Steel Company LTD'.
According to her, it is an opportunity for all those using the revival of Ajaokuta steel as campaign gimmicks to participate and show the people their capacity to fulfil their promise adding that promised are cheap.
Her words: "Ajaokuta steel investigation commences tomorrow 12th April 2018.
"Upon the March 1st 2018 exposé made at the Fed. House of Reps sectoral debate on Ajaokuta Steel Company (watch here https://youtu.be/m1QTfGYj_0g ); an investigation committee was set up to look into the critical issues raised.
Committee is headed by Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.
"All those using Ajaokuta’s revival as campaign gimmicks should participate to show the good people their capacity. Promises are cheap", she said.
