Breaking: Gov. Bello Orders SARS to Arrest Natasha, Force Squad Heads to Abuja
The Governor of Kogi State has reportedly mobilised Special Anti Robbery Squard (SARS) Kogi unit to arrest the senatorial candidate of SDP in the last senatorial election in Kogi Central, Barr. Natasha Akpoti.
As at the time of the press, the SARS from Lokoja unit are currently on their way to the Abuja residence of Barr. Natasha Akpoti to carryout the order of the governor who has vowed to bring the former SDP female senatorial candidate down at all cost.
The arrest move may not be unconnected to the petition written by the governor against Natasha alleging cyberstalking which the state commissioner of police, Akeem Busari is currently investigating and invited her for questioning on Tuesday.
Natasha who is currently not in the country has earlier applied for transfer of the case to the Force Headquarters in Abuja in her letter to the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu dated 18th April 2019 where she complained about insecurity and threat to her life by the state governor and agents loyal to the governor.
It was learnt that the governor who is pained by the weight and popularity Natasha pulled in the last election has vowed to silence her and stop her from any further political moves in the state, especially against his reelection bid.
It was further learnt that the former president of Customary Court of Appeal, Justice Moses Bello helped the state governor to secure warrant of arrest of Natasha Akpoti since the Kogi Judiciary has been on strike and couldn't get any warrant of arrest.
Justice Moses Bello was alleged to have done this as a kick back for his son's political position which Bello forced on the people of Okehi/Adavi Federal constituency as the Memeber- elect House of Representatives.
