We live in a world where we find it difficult to strike a balance between "doing the right thing" and "doing things right".
I know for sure that the above statement might sound contradictory.
Ultimately, In a society that is consumed by lawlessness, operational excesses, economic leeches, insecurity, blood shedding and wanton destruction of lives and properties, such society tender to limbs out of it situation because such act is being perpetrated by a large number of people in the society. People might think that they are doing the right thing because such act has consumed that unfortunate society like a disease.
When a leader emerged in such society to take the center stage and rearrange the order of the cause of event, to restore peace and unity, security of lives and properties equal distributions of wealth and resources. Hence, such leader is doing things right.
It is one of the distinct human nature to be apprehensive of change. Indelibly, Virtually everyone benefited from the circle of lawlessness and operational excesses. A vivid example is the unproductive, baseless and fruitless appointment of ghosts and redundant workers in the state which the governor has taken the giant stride to massively overhaul them without fear or favour.
One of the huge milestone the Governor has achieved so far is the area of securing lives and properties of the good citizens of Kogi state, restoring sanity and orderliness across the state. The issue of kidnapping, armed robbery, political thuggery has become a tale of the past.
It is of no doubt that Kogi state has not been in line with the test of time in term of infrastructural development and other vital social amenities that would enhance the social comforts of the good citizens of Kogi state. The ongoing constructions of roads across the state, the Kogi state revenue house, the military base and the just completed rice mill to mention but few have gone a long way to reflect your zeal and determination to transform the state.
Most recently, you were pronounced by the minister of health as the best Governor on Healthcare. It is all down to your sterling leadership quality and your utmost priority of having the interest of the people at heart.
