Sailors of Iniquity | By Isah Bala

Through the bank of pulsating river,
Drivers of the unjust boat set to sail, pillaging the sea pillars without mercy
Even Ariel will have mercy at the pillars who have long become a pawn through which power is wrestled then left to tangle
The drivers, the cheerleaders and the yea-sayers of this iniquity have forgotten the nearness of the coastline
We shall question their evil voyage when they no longer have dogs to bite and guns to shoot without question

Before then, let the pillars who hold the nerve of this sea continue to bear the undoing of the sailors of iniquity
Let the martyrs of the evil voyage rest not,
Let the pains of the martyrs continue to hover over their heads
Then we shall be magnanimous to leave them to God to pay them the equal amount of their iniquities

We will be humane but not to fold our arms
We shall shop for their heirs and liberate the ocean from their wreck
As we prepare to wash them and their evil boat ashore
The pillars of this river must defy intimidation
Dangle from their various angles and form a unifying force to cleanse the river from the mess of sailors of iniquity.
