Lukman cracks the hard nut, emerges new champion of ISU weekly quiz
It was another moment of fierce intellectual discourse on Friday on the Weekly Quiz Competition of Ihima Students' Union (ISU), Yusuf Lukman emerging the new champion.
Lukman, an HND II Architectural Technology student of Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa defeated the defending champion Comrade Sanni Shefiat with five point to emerge the new champion in a keenly contested competition.
Reacting to his victory as the new champion of the union, Lukman noted that he dedicate his victory to the workaholic executives of the union who are working round the clock to sustain the good image of the union.
In his words, "my appreciation goes to the organiser of this programme, the moderator, sponsor, co-participants and the general members
"I dedicate this victory to you all and I personally dedicate it to madam OnyiEne'Oyiza, thank you all."
Affirming the readiness of the union to promote Ebira history, the Secretary General of the union Comrade Yusuf Muyiba who served as the anchor of the programme explained that ISU weekly quiz is one of the programmes of the union designed to educate the students of Ihima origin.
"While ISU Annual Quiz, Spelling Bee, and Debating competitions are designed to reawaken students consciousness on their subjects of study and societal issues, ISU Weekly Quiz is basically designed to educate our members on the rich history of Ebiraland, " she explained.
She added that the competition is held on the students' union whatsapp group every Friday where members of the union from different higher institutions of learning are able to participate.
