In every democratic society, the importance of having capable and responsible representatives cannot be overemphasized. These individuals act as the voice of the people, shaping policies and making decisions that directly impact the lives of their constituents. In the case of Kogi State, the need for good representatives is critical. As they play a pivotal role in addressing issues such as insecurity and fostering sustainable development. As a citizen who will not get tired of contributing to the peace and development of the state, permit me to whisper wisdom to the ears of our incoming governor,  Alhaji Usman Ododo as he is about to mount the ship of the state.

Insecurity has been a persistent challenge in Kogi State, affecting the lives and livelihoods of its citizens. A proactive and capable representative can make a significant difference in addressing this issue. By actively engaging with relevant stakeholders, advocating for increased security measures, and collaborating with law enforcement agencies. A responsible representative and appointees are expected to contribute to creating a safer environment for the people of Kogi state, shun ethnicity and religion chauvinism.

Furthermore, a good representative is instrumental in bridging gap between the government and the citizens. Effective communication and representation ensure that the concerns and needs of the people are accurately conveyed to the authorities. This, in turn, facilitates the development and implementation of policies that directly address the root causes of insecurity in the state. This, I hope to see in the future as you assume office soon

ladies and gentlemen, In the realm of development, competent leaders and their teams serve as a driving force behind progress. By understanding the unique challenges and opportunities within Kogi State, a representative can actively pursue initiatives and projects that enhance infrastructure, education, healthcare, and overall socio-economic conditions. This, in turn, creates an environment conducive to development and improved living standards for the residents, reduces kidnapping and other criminal activities.

Passive engagement by representatives may lead to missed opportunities for growth and positive change. Therefore, Your Excellency, you must be smart and intelligent in your appointment. You must select individuals who are not only knowledgeable about the needs of the people but are also committed to actively pursuing solutions. it is good to know the problems but it is better to have the solution. so appoint solution-oriented people to help you succeed 

Development is a holistic process that requires the collaboration of various stakeholders. A capable representative acts as a catalyst for this collaboration, bringing together government agencies, private organizations, and the local community to work towards common goals. Through effective representation, a harmonious synergy is created, leading to more efficient and targeted development initiatives.

Today I am glad we have that quality representative in the National Assembly. Her Excellency, Senator Barr Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan representing the good people of Kogi Central is setting a Pace in the history of representation from Kogi State 

In conclusion, the importance of a good representative in Kogi State cannot be overstated. By actively engaging with the issues of insecurity and championing development initiatives, competent and conscious citizens can contribute significantly to the state's overall well-being. It is incumbent upon your leadership to choose wisely. Selecting your team who are not only capable but also dedicated to the betterment of Kogi State through their active and responsible representation across the board
