NAPAY Faults Senator Abaribe Over Comment Against Gov. Bello, Challenges Him To Recheck Nigeria's History

The Director General of the National Patriotic Youth (NAPAY), Hon. Kareem Zakari today in Abuja faults the stance of the Senator represenring Abia-South Senatorial District, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe,  over youths taking the political stage of the Country, especially the clamor for Governor Bello to contest for the 2023 Presidential Election.

The DG in a statement said Senator Abaribe lack history of the emergence of leaders in Nigeria since independence, noting that there was need for the younger generation to be opportuned to occupy the Presidential seat of the Country.

Abaribe lack history and we stand to educate his shallow mind. We've had Youths lead the country at very critical time and they were able to govern Nigeria against all odds upto to the return of democracy in 1999"

"Gen. Yakubu Gowon was 31 years when he govern Nigeria, Murtala Muhammed was 37 years, Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo was 39years and many others who occupied different political Offices at their tender ages, so for Senator Abaribe to have mentioned Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello during the plenary in the red chamber is nothing but mischievous and a statement from someone who lack history of the emergence of leaders in Nigeria"

He continued, "Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello of Kogi State has performed beyond expectations as his New Direction led administration has reposition the State from what we used to have during the past PDP led administration in the State.

Today we are experiencing peaceful coexistence among all the tribes in the State, Kogi East have been in darkness for long but Governor Bello embarked on Operation Light Up Kogi East, an initiative that has brought electricity to the Area, talk of massive road Constructions, health facilities, civil service reform, women, youth Empowerment, appointment of youths and women into various positions,  security, mention them, Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello has taken the lead.  He deserves an opportunity to replicate same in the Country"

The DG of NAPAY challenged Senator Abaribe to make known his performance so far as regard execution of Constituency projects in Abia State since he has been in the red chamber representing the people of Abia South Senatorial District of the State.

The DG maintained that President Muhammadu Buhari had earlier pronounced that upon his exit of Office, he will hand over power to the younger generation, stressing that the President knows the leadership  strength of youths hence the pronouncement.

"The Not Too Young to Run Bill signed into law by His Excellency, President  Muhammadu Buhari, will surely reposition the Youths to take over the leadership of our great Country Nigeria and rescue the nation from several challenges facing it currently"

The DG called on Youths across the Country to rise to the task of rescuing the Nation by voting massively for the young Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello whose various antecedents has singled him out among other contestants.

"We will surprise our elders who have in the past taken the corridors of power as their place of  retirement and a field to build the future of their children, families, friends and their cronies and are still having plans of returning again to continue from where they stopped, by massively voting them out come 2023"
