26 Igala First Class Graduates Get N500,000 Each

In what will go down as a foundational development in Igalaland, recently 26 First Class Graduates of Igala origin in Kogi State have been awarded N500, 000 each as a reward for making the people of Igala proud.



The cash sum of N500, 000 was given to them as scholarship by Igala Education Foundation aimed at promoting academic excellence in Igalaland.

While making the presentation of of N13 million cheques to the beneficiaries on Tuesday Kogi State Capital, Lokoja, the State Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja disclosed that the N500,000 scholarship award is to help the outstanding students further their education and urged them to strive for further academic excellence and continue to make the people of Igala proud.


Onoja who described education as the foundation for sustainable development, hailed the outstanding students who come out top with first class in their different chosen fields.

Edward Onoja urged the outstanding students to see the opportunity to be recognized by their own kinsmen and think of how to sow back the seed they harvest to the society in order to raise more outstanding students from Igalaland.

Onoja, however, advised Nigerians to sow seeds of legacies in the lives of the coming generation, adding that the only lasting legacies in the lives of the people is to sow seeds of greatness and development.
