Poverty alleviation: Sure project for my constituency- AAM
The aspirant vying to represent the people of Okene/Ogorimagongo federally constituency come 2019 Alhaji Abdullahi Muktar (AAM) has vowed to use everything within his reach to ameliorate the suffering of the people by instituting poverty alleviation programmes if given the opportunity.
Speaking at his Abuja resident, the aspirant relayed to Confluencereporters some of the project he wants to embark on to ease the suffering of his people if given the opportunity.
1. A sustainable project where all household would have access to portable drinking water and Energy supply.
2. A vibrant manufacturing sector which will have the capacity to absorb the unemployed youth in my constituency, i.e sponsoring and seeking from international donor agencies to setup a high level coordinating body to drive financial inclusion, for financial inclusion is a powerful vehicle for poverty alleviation.
3. Education which I see as the fundamental tool in poverty alleviation.
4. Creation of Employment Opportunity for the teaming Youth.
"By way of Research, Nigeria has a youth population of over 80 million representing 60% of total population of the country. Also, 64 million of them are unemployed. I will deepen my hand on job opportunity within my reach.
"According to Dr. Martin Luther King Jnr "the time is always ripe to do right."
For I have Pledged to Serve, " he said.
