Open letter to the Emperor of Bamana Empire | Comr Isah Amoto Bala

With heart filled with grief and great concern over the future of Banana Empire on the recent killing of Black I penned these short lines…

I tried to refrain myself from writing on the national issue but as Martin Luther King Jr succinctly opines  "he who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it." This pushed me to this moment of truth and I must reveal just the truth for the love of our empire.

To the village that harbour Black, he was not a killer of peace and he did not steal the rights of commoners nor a pedophile as claimed by the head of the Royal Guard.

I must put it straight that Black was killed to score a point. For whatever reasons, I can't totally refute the claim that late Black was among those that spearhead the alleged attack on Emperor II, his gruesome killing and his body dragged in the street for everybody to see his disgraceful end is a spillage of ignorance of human rights law and has revealed the kind of justice system Bamana Empire has.

I cried for the future of Bamanans when the head of the Royal Guard hurriedly rushed to the dome to deceive the thousands protesters demanding to hear the reason behind the perceived Empire's sponsored killing of Black.

Without shame sir, the head of the Royal Guard labelled late Black as a pedophile, arsonist, killer of sacred lion, robber of peace and the shooter of the arrow that killed hundreds of people in the empire's synagogue years ago. These alleged crimes and many others accrued to late Black are too laughable for a sane man to believe.

Your majesty sir, I must put the record straight because this is a moment of truth. On numerous occasions, late Black had singlehandedly arrest burglars, gamblers of societal peace, notorious bandits are in his list of arrest which he handed over to the Royal Guard. I and many other bearers of truth can testify to this.

The head of the Royal Guard cannot deny this collaboration Royal Guard enjoyed with late Black in the fight against crime.

The society know late Black as a keeper of peace, inhabitants of his village know his presence as an end to any possible action of dippers, burglars, rapist and whatnots.

I am afraid of what future holds for our dear empire if we keep trailing this path where able bodied men, the supposed arch of the empire are used as pawn and killed just to score a point.

If this is the best of Royal Guard in refining alleged criminal without giving a room for fair hearing regardless of his alleged crime, our justice system needs total overhauling as an empire that pride itself as "home of the weak."

There's nothing one can do to bring late Black to  tell his own version of the alleged crimes which the wailing and hooties of the aged contradict.

The divide and rule has caused us unimaginable damages in the last couple of months, there should be a way to settle score than shedding of blood.

As human being, late Black was no saint, he had his own weaknesses, he deserves to be refined, he deserves fair trial not jungle justice.
