Mercy Johnson Hits Ground Running in Kogi By Isyak Alex Adeiza
Veteran actress and the newly inaugurated Senior Special Assistant on Entertainment, Arts and Culture to Kogi State Governor, Mercy Ozioma Johnson has on the day of her inauguration began work on creating a synergy with the entertainers in the state.
Mercy was on Monday 4th April, 2017 inaugurated along over 60 other assistants newly appointed by the state government.
While addressing all and sundry present at the banquet hall of the governor, she stated that entertainment is part of the means of generating revenue, promising to hit the ground running.
In her words, she said: "The Governor has proven himself to be sensitive. Sensitivity is not fear, it is respect. In so many other states, Entertainment is a great source of revenue.
"My toes are on the ground and we will do it here in Kogi, without so much of Government money."
Earlier on with the entertainers who came to
congratulate her, she enjoined them to unite together towards making the Kogi entertainment industry grow.
